D.R.E.A.M. Foundation Turkey Giveaway at Medgar Evers College

One of the D.R.E.A.M. Foundation’s vital missions is to help feed those who are struggling to make ends meet. It’s a mission that the foundation passionately pursues throughout the year. However, there’s a particular emphasis on Thanksgiving. On November 18, the D.R.E.A.M. Foundation partnered with the Medgar Evers College Transition Academy program to give turkeys and other food items to students experiencing food insecurity.

Earning good grades is only half the battle for some students in the City University of New York (CUNY) system. Maintaining a roof over their head and food on the table, while working on a college degree, are additional challenges for far too many. It’s a struggle that administrators at Medgar Evers College in Crown Heights, Brooklyn are well-aware of and making every effort to assist vulnerable students.
